It wouldn't be stretching the truth to say that Tim Snider knows the wine business from the ground up. His first job in the industry was driving a tractor preparing the ground for his family's vineyard in Knight's Valley, Sonoma County, CA. in 1985. For six summers he helped in the development of the Snider family’s vineyard - putting in irrigation systems, clearing stumps and building dear fences as well as working on leaf removal, canopy management and crop thinning for existing vineyards.

Though Tim didn’t know it at the time, the summers spent in the vineyards would spark a true passion for the wine industry and provide a number of invaluable experiences including an introduction to viticulture and selling grapes to commercial wineries. Read More >>>

PAULA KORNELL
Oakville Ranch Vineyards , Napa Valley, CA

At Oakville Ranch, General Manager Paula Kornell is the voice of the winery and is its Ambassador. Charged with the stewardship of the vineyards, she says, “Each day, I discover a new, breathtaking vista as I walk through the vines. With each sip of wine, I discover flavors and nuances that are developing in our vineyard, the bottle, and the glass.” Paula invites wine fans to visit the ranch and see, firsthand, why the ranch is such a special place for growing great grapes, creating stellar wines, and making new friends.

From the vine to the bottle, the winegrowing and winemaking at Vine Cliff Winery comes under the watchful and caring eye of Rob Sweeney. Rob has been involved in making every vintage and varietal produced under the Vine Cliff label. He assumed vineyard management and winemaking responsibilities at the family winery in 1990, bringing a hands-on style and familiarity with the estate that insure that we always meet our singular mandate - to produce the best possible wine every vintage.

As Proprietor, he and Winemaker Rex Smith lead a winemaking team with a devotion to excellence that has always been the hallmark of Vine Cliff wines.
